RED WING Shoe the Classic 875

Finally, my Hoot of the year on 221211. The 875 fresh from The Red Wing Store Suntec Singapore. It is the time of the year, Christmas is round the corner and I had vouchers so this is the best period. I had been eye-ing it for about a year now and it is time to pull the trigger!


Here it is. The Red Wing Classic moc-toe 875. Fresh and full of leather. The leather skin definitely smells good.


The Red Wing Classic Standard Crepe Soles. Does it sounds delicious? Very deliciously nice-looking. Anyway, the Sole is about an inch high. Instantly made me an inch taller.


The Trademark. Made in U.S.A. Since 1905. I love the oil-tanned leather. It was a love at first sight.


The Gold/tan braided round bootlaces compliment the boot really well.

The thing about boot is that, it had to be break in. meaning to say, wearing it so as to allow the leather to acclimatise to your feet. The inital period is suffering but the post-break in period is the labor of fruit. Afterwards, it might be the best shoe you will ever wore. Well, I can't assure because I had not experience it personally, however, I will document it as I go along.


One last shot. Handsome-looking. Leather is my new second skin.

Oh and one more thing, whether if you're in Singapore, for guys, if you are not aware, the current trend is the combination of boot with a complimenting jean. Especially easy for a weekend wear.

FRENCH CONNECTION time

It is my 21st Birthday this year, and this is my late arrived present from my polytechnic classmates and big boys clique. Better than I expect! Had been deciding whether to drop the shell to purchase a dress watch for myself. Now, i don't have to worry anymore because I got this!


Here it is. Simple and elegant. A timepiece that fits my criteria. A simple touch of Chrome, White and Black. I love how this watch looks like a Pam-inspired. A really big face. Outer Diameter of 50mm.

Here with the full view. I'm a fresh leather lover. I'd definitely chose leather straps over metal chain anytime. I don't know, but leather straps is here to stay.
The only flaw is that the hours/minutes hands are in glossy deep black. As I wore it in the night, I can barely see the time, I have to look for light reflection. Other than this, no complaints.


A close-up View. I do not know the movement as there is no indication. Swiss?Quartz? Not sure about it. There is a date indicator but I have yet to set it to the correct timings.
There is a Tachymeter which I do not know what is the function but am curious about it. Seiko watch do have them on their timepieces.

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Finally get my hands on the legendary Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson Book. I bought my copy at Prologue @ Ion Orchard.


I had chose to get the US print by the publisher, Simon & Schuster, which took me sometime to find it. There are two publishers, another which is the UK print, are more commonly everywhere. The significant difference is this cover is glossy while the other is matte.


The thickness of the book is well, slightly leaner, as the paper quality is different. I'm not sure about the typography inside though. Well, it is printed in U.S.A.


The Biography of the Visionary founder of Apple Inc., the world most valuable tech company. Without his Vision, there is never macbook. And, iphone, ipad will never exist.

It is a valuable book added to my books collection . I had brought it into the camp, and going to start reading. Might take sometime to complete this 603 pages book. Might do an after thoughts after i complete this book.

'You Are the Apple of My Eye' SG/MY Novel

I'm very glad that i finally found this book in the Popular book store. Have been searching for it for quite sometimes after i watch this movie, 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 . This is the SG/MY ver. of the novel.


The Original Cover. Power of a great story filmed into a movie. Me, who didn't touch Chinese book since Secondary school days, I just have to read Chinese written book all over again.


In case you do not know, this book comes with the cover-made-to-poster.

Some people find it very nice as this film made us reminisce the old good days, but some felt like it wasn't a good film, to me, 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 is the best chinese film i had watch over these few years.
